Kylie Siu Physiotherapist

I am a physiotherapist, coach, and a specialist in critical care rehabilitation. My mission in life is to provide complete care for a spectrum of clients, from the critically ill to the community with cutting-edge rehabilitation, utilising movements for optimal recovery.

Thrive Healthcare is helmed by Kylie Siu, a physiotherapist, coach, and a specialist in critical care rehabilitation. Her mission in life is to provide complete care for a spectrum of clients, from the critically ill to community-living adults with cutting-edge rehabilitation, utilising movements for optimal recovery.

Her decade of experience includes her work in both Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (National Healthcare Group) and National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS), where she had managed a broad spectrum of patients including those in cardiothoracic, surgical and medical intensive care unit (ICU), general and orthopaedic surgery, geriatrics, chronic respiratory and cardiac diseases.

Kylie was instrumental in conceptualizing and setting up the pulmonary rehabilitation service, geriatric surgical service, and the Early Recovery After Surgery pathway (ERAS), where she was able to plan and develop seamless service lines from start to finish with the patient in the center of it all.

Her keen interest in providing evidence-based care and quality improvement has also led to massive success in multiple projects, where she received a National Healthcare Group Merit Award for her work in Forging Optimal Mobility in Critically Ill Patients in the ICU, presented at the 2016 European Society of Intensive Care Medicine Congress (ESICM), and a book chapter on Returning to Premorbid Function after Colorectal Surgery in the Elderly.  Her other accolades include a feature of her work on The Straits Times and Wan Bao News in 2017.

As a member of the 50th Singapore Physiotherapy Association (SPA) Council, Kylie will continue to raise the standards of the physiotherapy landscape in Singapore, getting the community she serves to move better, feel better, and thrive.
