Dr Ong is a fellowship‑trained sports physician with over 15 years of experience in diagnosing and treating complex musculoskeletal and athletic injuries. He holds dual fellowships—one in musculoskeletal ultrasound interventions and another in high‑performance sports medicine, completed in London and Australia. 

 

His approach is grounded in innovation, precision, and evidence‑based care. Dr Ong is well-versed in advanced interventional techniques such as hydrodissection, shockwave therapy, and ultrasound-guided injections—enabling minimally invasive solutions aligned with rehabilitation. More than just treating pain, Dr Ong focuses on restoring function, so you can return to doing what you love—whether it’s training for your next event or walking pain-free with your kids.

 

When he's not supporting patients on their recovery journey, Dr Ong is deeply involved in clinical leadership, research and teaching. Amongst his multiple appointments, he was the previously served as Clinical Director of Sports & Exercise Medicine Centre at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, visiting consultant at Singapore Sports Institute and Program Director for Alexandra Academy for Clinical and Emergency Sonography.

 

He is also a clinical mentor: Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Nanyang Technological University and Clinical Senior Lecturer at the National University of Singapore, helping to shape the next generation of sports medicine practitioners. 

 

Outside of work, he is an accomplished powerlifter, having held multiple national records in powerlifting and best lifter awards at national level meets. As such he is well versed in strength and conditioning as well as having strong interest in exercise and nutritional prescription.
